BRIEFLY, HOW DOES THE OMS® QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM WORK AFTER OMS® BC’S ARE FABRICATED?
  1. COSMETIC TEST: During the leak testing phase all BC’s are inspected for Fabric, molding and other defects. Those that do not pass are reworked if possible. Those that do pass are destroyed.

  2. LEAK TEST: The OMS® leak test exceeds the industry standard by 4X. That is we test 100% of the BC’s for a 24 hour period. Those BC’s that do not remain hard and maintain the required pressure after 24 hours are repaired and retested.

It is very rare but those that do not pass this second test are destroyed.

The industry standard for conducting a leak test is only for a period of 6 hours. Many manufacturers do not conduct this test as evidenced by recent BC recalls.
