OMS ® Comfort Harness Setup Guide
Copyright 2004 Sub-Aquatic Technologies / Doug Arnberg / www.sub-aquatic.com/For simplicity sake and higher quality reasoning, I recommend you buy the Comfort harness system complete with either the OMS Al or SS back plate. If you already have a back plate (by any manufacturer) the harness is available without a plate. This guide will help in the assembly if this is the case... If you have any questions, email me. doug@sub-aquatic.com |

Crotch Strap: |
Using the piece of 1" webbing, two 2" slides/keepers and 1" male buckle, assemble the crotch strap as shown in the images below.
Once assembled, insert the free end of the assembly through the back plates lower crotch strap slot from back to front. Be sure when looking down at the slide/keeper that the center of it is delrin and not webbing otherwise you have to flip it. See images below for reference. Loop the end through the slide/keeper (see image) pull tight and your done. Adjustments should be made later while wearing your exposure suit.

Lower Shoulder strap assemblies: |
Assemble the two lower shoulder straps as shown in the image below using the following: 20" webbing with eye sewn in one end, one 2" male buckle and one 2" slide/keeper.
Start by threading the male 2" buckle then the 2" slide. Be sure yours looks the same as the image shown above. The images below show the assembly.
After assembling the two lower shoulder assemblies attach one to each side of the back plate as follows. Insert the free end of webbing through the lower inside slot of the back plate from front to back (either side of plate). Pull the webbing back up through the outer slot and string through the slide/keeper as seem in the images below. Be sure the slide/keeper faces away from the diver. Repeat on other side.
The lower assembly should look like the image below at this point. If it is not, try again or email me. doug@sub-aquatic.com. Remember, final adjustments are made later.
